Launched to coincide with the World Bank's Water Week (April 4-8), "Using Market Finance to Extend Water Supply Services: Lessons Learned from Peri-urban and Rural Kenya" describes the GPOBA Community Microfinance Project in Kenya,  explaining how leveraging donor funds can help meet the challenges of providing water to poor communities lacking access to commercial financing. This IFC production also lists the solutions and the results obtained from this pilot, which encouraged private banks to consider lending for small-scale water projects as a profitable venture, through the use of output-based aid. This video is part of IFC's "Smart Lessons" series;  IFC is one of GPOBA's donors, and has been a partner in water and sanitation projects.
